On August 7, the third day of the wrestling competitions at the 2024 Olympic Games continues in Paris. Today, athletes compete in the 67 and 87 kg weight categories in Greco-Roman wrestling, as well as 53 kg in women's wrestling.
In the semi-finals of the weight category up to 67 kg, Iranian athlete Said Morad Esmaeili and Armenian athlete Slavik Galstyan met. The fight for a place in the final was extremely intense, but, unfortunately, Slavik was unable to defeat the Iranian. In the end, he lost with a score of 10:4. Slavik had two ideal moments to finish the fight early, putting the Iranian on both shoulder blades (fall), but, alas, fate decreed otherwise on this day.
Tomorrow Slavik Galstyan's opponent will be the winner of the pair Ishak Gayu (Algeria) and Orta Sanchez (Cuba).
