On July 30, the Olympic medal draw for women's judo in the 63 kg weight category was held in Paris.
The gold medal was won by Slovenian Andreja Leška, who won a convincing victory over Mexican Priska Alcaraz in the final with a score of 10:1.
On her way to the final, Andreja won the following victories: in the 1/16 finals, she defeated Nigara Schachen, a representative of the refugee team, in the 1/8 finals, Polish athlete Angelika Szymanska, in the 1/4 finals, Austrian Ljubljana Piovesanna, and in the 1/2 finals, Frenchwoman and Olympic champion Clarissa Agbenyena.
