On July 27th, the gymnastics competitions at the 2024 Olympic Games started in Paris. Representing the Armenian team are Artur Davtyan, competing in the vault, and Vaagn Davtyan, competing on the rings.
The qualification competitions will continue until 23:50 Paris time. However, despite this, more than half of the gymnasts have already completed their performances, and the preliminary results show that both Armenian gymnasts have high chances of making it to the finals.
Vaagn Davtyan is currently in 5th place in the rings qualification with a score of 14.733. His chances of advancing to the finals look very promising. At the same time, the first two places in the qualification are occupied by Chinese gymnasts, demonstrating high competition.
Artur Davtyan is currently in 7th place in the vault qualification with a score of 14.666. His performance was mixed: the first jump was unsuccessful, but the second was executed well, allowing him to maintain good chances of reaching the finals.
It is important to note that in the last group of gymnasts, only four will be performing the vault. Their performances will start at 20:00 Paris time, and the final results of the qualification will be known only late at night.
Let us remind you that the top 8 gymnasts from the qualification competitions advance to the finals.
