Midfielder Andranik Teymourian is listed among footballers of Armenian descent who have participated in the FIFA World Cup.
Teymourian was a member of the Iranian national team in two World Cups. He played his first World Cup in 2006 in Germany, and his second in 2014 in Brazil. He played matches against teams such as Argentina, Mexico, Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, and Nigeria.
Andranik was a key midfielder for the club "Esteghlal" and the only Christian in the Iranian national team. The expression "among strangers" fits him perfectly.
