On July 17, Inter Milan won 3-2 in a friendly match against Swiss club Lugano in the town of Appiano Gentile.
The Italian champions played their first friendly match in their usual 3-5-2 formation, with new team member Mehdi Taremi at the forefront of the attack alongside Joaquin Correa. These two became the goal scorers for Inter.
Correa opened the scoring in the first half, and in the second half, Mehdi Taremi scored a brace.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan started in the midfield along with Thomas Berenbruch and Lucien Agoume. In the 64th minute, the Armenian footballer was substituted by Dylan Zarate.
