Armenia national team midfielder Ugochukwu Iwu became the scorer for Kazan's Rubin in the first round of the Russian Cup 2024/25.
Iwu missed the start of the RPL season due to injury and only returned to action for this game. In the match against Akron, Ugochukwu Iwu came on in the 78th minute and scored a goal two minutes later, making the score 4-0 in favor of Rubin. After the goal, he made a gesture hinting at the birth of a child.
