On August 12, the last participants of the 2024 Olympic Games, the Armenian wrestlers and weightlifters, returned to Armenia. The athletes were warmly greeted at Zvartnots Airport.
A large number of fans came to meet the Olympic medalists — Artur Aleksanyan, Malkhas Amoyan, and Varazdat Lalayan.
In a conversation with journalists, Gevorg Aleksanyan, Artur's father, and Karen Giloyan noted that they are determined to fight for justice to reclaim Artur Aleksanyan’s Olympic gold, which, according to the Armenian delegation, was unfairly awarded to the Iranian Mohamadhani Saravi during the final.
