On April 21, 2024 the football club UGA Ardziv from Marseille turned exactly 100 years old. The team celebrated its anniversary in the match National 3 (5 league of France) against the double of Marseille "Olympique". The match ended with the victory of Olympique with the score 2:3.
A large number of fans were present at the Sevan stadium in Marseille. Everyone came with Armenian flags, there were a lot of pyrotechnics, as well as a big poster, which depicted the founders of the club.
The club UGA Ardziv was founded in 1924 by the first Armenian refugees, victims of the Armenian genocide of 1915, who arrived in Marseille in the early 1920s.
