Armenian weightlifter Valerik Movsisyan (89 kg) has become a two-time European weightlifting champion for boys under 17 years old.
To win the tournament in Thessaloniki, the Armenian weightlifter needed just one attempt in the snatch and the clean and jerk. Movsisyan won two small golds and a big gold in the combined total. This is Armenia's second gold at the 2024 European Championships (U17) in Thessaloniki (Greece). Earlier, Narek Ohanyan (61 kg) became a champion.
