According to Sportball24, the football club "West Armenia" may not participate in the new season of the Armenian ID Bank Premier League. The club is facing serious financial difficulties, and there is a high probability that it will not be registered for the new season. Currently, the situation is so critical that the very existence of the club is at stake.
In the concluded season of the Armenian Championship, "West Armenia" finished in 7th place, thereby avoiding relegation. However, despite this relatively successful result, the club's financial problems have only worsened.
The difficult financial situation is also evidenced by the fact that 14 players have already left the team.
If "West Armenia" does not compete in the 2024/25 season, the Armenian Championship will have all 9 clubs from the previous season, with the addition of the First League winner "Gandzasar".
