Armenia concluded its participation in the 2024 Olympic Games. Fifteen athletes represented Armenia in Paris, winning four medals—three silver and one bronze.
Overall, the 2024 Olympics were successful for Armenia. The results improved compared to the previous games: we won three silver and one bronze medal, while in Tokyo, we had two silver and two bronze medals. At least five other athletes were close to winning medals.

Varazdat Lalayan (+102 kg) — 2nd place.
Snatch - 215 kg, Clean and Jerk - 252 kg. Total - 467 kg (personal record).
Also, as part of the Bahrain national team, Gor Minasyan won the bronze medal in the same weight category as Varazdat Lalayan. He lives and trains in Armenia and at the Olympics, his coach was Pashik Alaverdyan, the coach of the Armenian national team. Gor Minasyan moved to Bahrain because he could not compete for Armenia due to quotas - there is a maximum of one athlete from each country in each weight class.
