Today, June 6, the international ranking wrestling tournament "Polyak Imre & Varga János – 2024" started in Budapest. Three wrestlers from Armenia participated in the freestyle wrestling tournament, and all of them reached the final: Arsen Harutyunyan (61 kg), Vazgen Tevanyan (70 kg), and Arman Andreasyan (70 kg).
In the 70 kg weight category, an Armenian final will take place with the participation of Tevanyan and Andreasyan.
For Arsen Harutyunyan and Vazgen Tevanyan, this tournament is the last test before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. However, they competed in different weight categories to avoid unnecessary weight cutting.

- 1/2 final: Arsen Harutyunyan (Armenia) - Shahdad Khosravi (Iran) 7-3.
- FINAL: Arsen Harutyunyan (Armenia) - Tayirbek Zhumashbek Uulu (Kyrgyzstan).
70 kg Vazgen Tevanyan:
- 1/4 final: Vazgen Tevanyan (Armenia) - Alibek Osmonov (Kyrgyzstan) 11-0.
- 1/2 final: Vazgen Tevanyan (Armenia) - Edemi Bolkvadze (Georgia) 2-1.
- FINAL: Vazgen Tevanyan (Armenia) - Arman Andreasyan (Armenia).
70 kg Arman Andreasyan:
- 1/4 final: Arman Andreasyan (Armenia) - Evan Henderson (USA) 9-2.
- 1/2 final: Arman Andreasyan (Armenia) - Akaki Kemertelidze (Georgia) 7-6.
- FINAL: Vazgen Tevanyan (Armenia) - Arman Andreasyan (Armenia).
Thus, Armenia confidently demonstrated its strength on the international stage, and we look forward to the final matches.
