The WWE organization today terminated the contract of reigning Tokyo Olympic Champion Gable Stevenson, who competed in the 125kg weight class
The Olympic champion a month ago wanted to compete at a qualifying tournament in the United States to qualify for the Olympic roster, but WWE banned him from competing there because of his contract.
It's a shame that a talented wrestler like Gable essentially traded money in exchange for a career. He could have repeated history and become an Olympic champion again, but by signing with WWE, he just lost that chance.
He came out of nowhere, won, and then disappeared again.
