Olympic champion of Tokyo, four-time world champion in freestyle wrestling Yui Susaki visited the forge of titled athletes, North Ossetia, before her performance at the Summer Games in Paris.
One training day at the Aslan Khadartsev Wrestling Academy gave the Japanese athlete a lot of positive impressions and invaluable experience. She noted the high level of the sports complex and admitted that now she understands why our wrestlers are so strong.
Probably, Yui will remember sparring with her idol - Zaurbek Sidakov most vividly. As the athlete admitted, she revisits the Ossetian freestyle wrestler's performances and improves her performance on his example.
“It was my dream to train with Sidakov. He is not only a talented wrestler, but also a wonderful person. He is my idol, my hero,” shared Yui.
The Japanese woman is in North Ossetia for the first time. She was impressed by the local nature, fresh air and good people.
