From 25 to 27 April the European Judo Championships 2024 took place in Zagreb. The national team of Georgia won the team classification with 2 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes.
Three judokas performed in the Armenian national team at the tournament in Croatia: Ashik Andreyan (60 kg), Artak Torosyan (73 kg) and Gor Karapetyan (90 kg). Among them only Artak Torosyan managed to get one victory, winning in 1/32 finals against Ahmad Alikaj from the refugee team, but in 1/16 finals he lost to Adil Osmanov from Moldova. Ashik Andreayan lost to an Italian in the first bout, while Gor Karapetyan lost to a Serbian.
