The Armenian women's national team lost to Redemption in a friendly match. The meeting ended with the score 58-67 in favour of Redemption.
This was the first match of the Armenian women's national basketball team in 14 years. The game was held on 19 May in Glendale, California.
From 25-30 June, the Armenian national team will play in the European Small Countries Championship, where it will face the teams of Norway, Albania and Andorra in Group B.
The last time the Armenian national women's basketball team played at the 2010 European Small Countries Championship in Yerevan, Armenia took the second place.
Surprisingly, two basketball players from that squad played today, these are: Kristina Kepenekyan and Arpine Amirkhanyan. The rest of the players in the Armenian national team are younger.
