In an exciting first match of the Billie Jean King 2024 tournament (group 3), the Armenian women's tennis team demonstrated their superiority by defeating the Albanian team 3-0.
Match Results
The match began with a convincing victory by 18-year-old Naira Gevorgyan, who defeated Rea Kinami 6-1, 6-0. Following this, 20-year-old Milena Gevorgyan also confidently defeated Kristal Dule 6-2, 6-2, securing a decisive advantage for Armenia. In the doubles match, the most experienced 30-year-old Ani Amiraghyan and the youngest 16-year-old Alina Sogomonyan represented Armenia, leaving no chance for the duo of Dule and Kinami, finishing the match with a crushing score of 6-0, 6-2.
In the same group as Armenia, the teams of Cyprus and San Marino are also competing. These teams will be the next opponents for the Armenian tennis players on their way to winning the tournament.
