The Armenian national team winger Zhirayr Shagoyan played his first match for Debrecen in the Hungarian Championship. In the second round of the championship, Debrecen defeated Gyor away with a score of 3-0. This was the first game of the season for Debrecen, as the first round match was postponed.
Zhirayr Shagoyan came on as a substitute in the 86th minute and even had a chance to score a goal but missed from a favorable position. The goals in this match were scored by Donát Barany, Brandon Domingues, and former Yerevan "Ararat" player Yakuba Silue.
It should be noted that Shagoyan transferred to Debrecen from Ararat-Armenia this summer.
